Fresh from his National Grand Prix victory at Ballivor, Moroccan rider Zaid Ali Raad, who is based with Sven Hadley, continued his winning form by claiming the Derryronane Stud-sponsored 1.35m aboard John Chadwick's B.E. Flygold. The pair produced the fastest clear round in 38.63 seconds. Bred by GBBS International, the nine-year-old gelding is by Stakkato Gold out of Ballypatrick Flight.
Damien Griffin finished second with the Willie Cusack-owned Ardragh DRC Drifter after another faultless round in 39.57 seconds. Bred by Oliver Ward, the seven-year-old gelding is by Ardragh Me O Moy out of the Kannan-sired mare CSF Pippa.
Paul Lynch filled third place with Alan Wheeler's homebred Cashless. Although one pole down denied them victory, the seven-year-old mare posted a fast time of 44.43 seconds. Cashless is by Ard VDL Douglas out of the VDL Arkansas mare Anabee Arkansas.
Stephen Gibbons continued his recent run of consistent performances, taking fourth with Cassius Z after being the quickest of the four-faulters in the opening round in 68.76 seconds. The pair were victorious in the previous Connacht League round at Glenamaddy and finished second at Duffy's. Cassius Z, a 14-year-old gelding, is by Canabis Z out of Ginger Sari.
Joyce Veld and Corraghoe Bounce finished fifth after incurring four faults in 73.70 seconds, narrowly ahead of Shane Goggins and Boleybawn Cayman, who also finished on four faults in 73.74 seconds to claim sixth place.
Goggins claims Premier Performance 1.20m
Shane Goggins enjoyed success in the Geraghtys Joinery-sponsored Premier Performance 1.20m, partnering his own Clooncalagy Bobby to a convincing victory with a clear round in 32.84 seconds. The 10-year-old gelding is by VDL Bubalu out of Clooncalagy Lady.
Zaid Ali Raad continued his impressive afternoon by finishing second aboard the Hibernia Horses-owned D'Extase DH Z with a clear in 33.68 seconds, while Stephen Gibbons claimed third with Monroe Stables' LML Capaldi in 43.91 seconds.
Raad also secured fourth place with B.E. Flygold as the fastest of the four-faulters in 33.61 seconds. Nadine Carey and Sacre Bleu took fifth after a single fence down, while Aoife McCabe and Galwaybay Elliot completed the top six.
Kenny leads the way in 1.10m
Nathan Kenny topped the Flexineb by Nortev Connacht Showjumping 1.10m class, producing the fastest of 10 double clears aboard his mount in 29.40 seconds.
Orla Dixon and Prada Royale finished second in 30.72 seconds, followed by Aoife McCabe and CBI Supremacy in 31.29 seconds. Francesca Marriott and KEC Quality Delight claimed fourth, Zara Sharkey and Dowdstown Jordie finished fifth, while Damien Griffin and CSF Cianna rounded out the placings.
Seoighe triumphs in Amateur League
Tomas Seoighe (AA) claimed victory in the Connacht Showjumping Amateur League with Philip McManus's Flaming Eyes, producing a double clear in 36.39 seconds.
Derrick Burke (AA) and Tyreda Chip finished second with another clear round, while Shauna Wilson took third aboard her own Omard Hannah as the fastest four-faulter. Nathan Kenny (AA), Marie-Claire Rogers (A) and Joanna Hyland (A) completed the top six.
Foley wins Farmers Journal qualifier
Rachel Foley partnered Indra to victory in the Farmers Journal A Championship qualifier, stopping the clock clear in 29.37 seconds.Brian Weir and Corroy Candy finished second ahead of Karen Broderick (AA) and Hermes Van De Heffnick. Brian Tuffy and Abeer took fourth, while Joanna Hyland and Queen Lu finished fifth. Katherina O'Shea and Chianti To HSH completed the placings as the fastest four-faulters.
Geraghty heads Ladies' Horse class
Grace Geraghty and Moy Candy Girl won the Beyond Beauty Ladies' Horse 1.10m after producing a clear round in 34.39 seconds.Rachel Foley and Indra finished a close second in 34.68 seconds, while Michelle Desmond and Georgiana claimed third. Caroline Devine (A), Karen Boylan (A) and Aoife McCabe completed the top six.
Hodgins victorious in Puissance
Andrew Hodgins and Shanaclough Luichew claimed victory in the Harringtons Quarry Puissance after jumping four successive clear rounds. Cian Goggins and You Two Touchdown finished second after lowering a rail in the final round.
Sweeney dominates pony feature
Luke Sweeney enjoyed a memorable day in the 148cm 1.10m pony class, taking both first and second place from a field of 17 starters.He guided Tullymurry Sunshine to victory with a clear in 35.89 seconds before securing the runner-up spot aboard Orchid's Atilla in 37.01 seconds. Jack Derwin and Rincoola Babog finished third ahead of Amy Roche and Alice Cruise Royale, while Alayna Hawkins and Highburren Rose claimed fifth. James Cleary and Abbi BW completed the top six.
Delaney wins 138cm class
Niamh Delaney and Kisheen recorded the fastest of only two double clears to win the 138cm 1m class in 34.38 seconds. Tim Hawkins and the five-year-old Carraghy Spice were the only other combination to jump double clear, finishing second in 35.21 seconds.
Leonard secures Under 10 title
Joscelyn Leonard and Cefngelli Sherry produced the only double clear in the Equillence Under 10 85cm Connacht Showjumping Open Pony League, taking victory in 61.88 seconds. Cian Murtagh and Little Miss Lightning finished second after four faults.
Derwin takes 128cm honours
Jack Derwin claimed victory in the 128cm 90cm class with Ginger Rodgers, producing a clear round in 27.23 seconds.Ben Hawkins filled both second and third places with Glenford Tammy and LSR Trinity respectively, while Kaleigh Dolan and Ballyskeagh Lady finished fourth. Derwin returned to take fifth aboard Deelside Dolly, with Elaine Briscoe and The Glimmer Man completing the top six.
